GDPR - Personal Data Charter

The website https://www.arabiknow.com (hereinafter "the Site") may collect certain personal data from Users. This Charter aims to explain the conditions under which collected personal data is processed and used, in order to best inform the persons concerned.
The Publisher attaches particular importance to the protection of its Users' personal data.
ARTICLE 1 - Identity of the data controller
The company INOVEDUC, a simplified joint-stock company, registered in the Paris Trade Register under number 978 472 421, located at 10 rue de la Paix 75002 Paris, represented by Ms HOUKASSE Meryem, President.
ARTICLE 2 - Compliance with the law of 6 January 1978 known as the "DATA PROTECTION ACT" and regulation 2016/679
The Publisher is responsible for processing personal data and undertakes to comply with, on one hand, law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on data processing, files and freedoms, known as the "Data Protection Act", as amended by the law of 6 August 2004, and on the other hand the European Regulation EU/2016/679.
ARTICLE 3 - Consent
By using our Site, the User accepts the Publisher's privacy policy and consents to certain data being collected according to the methods and principles described below.
Creating a personal account on the Site is not possible if the mandatory information requested in the registration form is missing.
ARTICLE 4 - Collection methods
The Publisher collects information when personal data is entered during account creation.
ARTICLE 5 - Information collected
The information that may be collected is as follows:
- Title;
- Last name and first name;
- Age;
- Country;
- All voluntarily provided information
The personal data collected may concern minors. This data is strictly necessary for providing the Services and will only be processed by the Company in accordance with the GAR attribute request justification.
ARTICLE 6 - Purpose
Only data that is necessary and relevant to the purposes pursued is collected, in compliance with the proportionality principle, in order to improve service quality.
The Publisher will only collect adequate, relevant and strictly necessary data for the processing purpose. Depending on the situation, the purposes are as follows:
Personal account data is used for:
- Building a registered members database,
- Account management,
- Enabling use of our Site's services,
- Complying with legal and regulatory obligations.
As technology evolves, the Publisher may need to add purposes not yet covered in this Charter. Where applicable, changes to privacy rules will be made on this page.
ARTICLE 7 - Cookies
Cookies are pieces of information transferred from a web server or third-party web servers to your browser, where they are stored for later retrieval. Cookies can be small files or other information storage tools. The information stored in cookies is linked to the specific end device used. Cookies contain specific strings of characters that allow the browser to be uniquely identified upon a new visit to the Platform. When visiting the Platform, absolutely necessary cookies or similar technologies required for the Platform's operation are installed. The legal basis for processing personal data using essential cookies is the performance of the contract between ARABIKNOW and you, namely the Platform's Terms of Use (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR).
ARABIKNOW may also use non-essential cookies or similar technologies to collect additional information about your interests and/or usage behaviour, and/or statistical data on the most popular pages, conversion rates, browsing habits or number of clicks.
These processes are carried out to improve and facilitate your browsing experience, to improve ARABIKNOW's knowledge of Users, and to improve the Services.
The legal basis for processing personal data using non-essential cookies is your express consent (Article 6.1.a of the GDPR), which is requested upon visiting the Platform, before non-essential cookies are installed.

You are informed that when all cookies are disabled, including the technical cookies necessary for the Platform to function, certain Platform features may not work properly.
ARTICLE 8 - Data recipients
The data and information collected about the User are intended for the Publisher and the DPO, who are subject to the same personal data protection rules as the Publisher.
No transfer of this collected data will be made.
The Publisher reserves the right to transfer personal data in the event of a change in its control or the sale of all or part of its assets, notably through acquisition or merger with another company.
The collected personal data is not transferred outside the European Union.
Nevertheless, data may be transmitted to competent authorities upon request, including public bodies, exclusively to fulfil legal obligations, legal auxiliaries, ministerial officers and organisations responsible for debt collection.
ARTICLE 9 - Retention period
Data is retained by the Publisher for the period necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. It is specified in particular that for personal account management, data is retained:
For as long as the account is active, regardless of the profile type
ARTICLE 10 - Right of access, rectification and objection
The User has the right of access, rectification, objection and deletion regarding their personal data.
In general, the User may exercise these rights at any time:
By post to the publisher's address indicated in Article 1;
By email to: contact@arabiknow.com
Indicating the subject "Request for rectification or deletion of my personal data".
Any request must be accompanied by a photocopy of a valid identity document, and will be processed within a maximum of 1 month from receipt.
ARTICLE 11 - Minors' right to erasure
Users who were minors at the time of personal data collection may request deletion of their personal data by post to the address indicated in point 1, with a copy of an identity document.
The Publisher will proceed to erase all personal data concerning this person.
ARTICLE 12 - Right to data portability
In the context of using our services, the User has the right to portability of personal data provided on the Site. The data will be provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
ARTICLE 13 - Security
The Publisher undertakes to make best efforts to protect your personal data, in particular to prevent it from being distorted, damaged or communicated to unauthorised third parties.
ARTICLE 14 - Complaints
In the event of a complaint, the User may lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL):
